  I had a drastically different experience from my 1st and 2nd child. My first was born in Dec. 2012. I had to have a C-section and my son received excellent attention and care during my stay at the hospital and each well child appt. The 2 Drs we saw were usually Dr. Schaefer and Dr. Youngblood. My very favorite person at the Pediatrics clinic was Amy Famini but she has moved away (to CA)! Amy (referred by Dr. Youngblood) helped me SO much to help establish breastfeeding since it was very important to me. My 1st had jaundice and I was pushed to give him formula but it was only the first 2 weeks until I was producing enough breast milk. When my 2nd was born in Nov 2014, the personal attention seemed to decline. Perhaps it is due to being "established" parents but there seemed to be a significant difference to personal attention. My 2nd son had flat head that I began noticing about 2 months old. I brought it up at the 3 month and 6 month well child appts, but I kept getting told it would resolve on its own. I do not have a "favorite" Dr that I see and schedule whomever is available. I saw Dr. Olayemi for the 9 month appt and I again expressed concern about the flat head and he recommended me to the Hanger clinic (action, yay!). My son was measured and he DID qualify to need a helmet to correct it. The problem is, since this was delayed so long we can now only hope for a 50% correction of his asymmetry and it will take 6 months in a helmet! If he were to start the helmet at 6 months old when his skull was still more moldable, he could have had much more improvement. I really want to encourage the drs here to take a more aggressive approach in educating parents and helping them to prevent AND treat flat head syndrome. With that said, Dr. Olayemi is a very nice Dr and I enjoyed visiting with him. I think the flat head overlooking is more of a failure of our nation's healthcare approach, where healthcare is only given when insurance companies will pay for it. Correcting his flat head is important enough to us, that we would have been more than willing to pay out of pocket for the procedure! Time to fix the problem fully that is lost, we can never get back now.

  Hi, recently my baby fell sick and i visited the Mercy clinic for pediatrics at Bentonville AR. I walked in. I requested for a doctor visit as my daughter is having the sickness for some time now. But a nurse named Cathy came in and started treating her. I reiterated for a doctor and the nurse was very RUDE and ANGRY on me. I always asked for a DOCTOR. I am not sure why a nurse came and why she started to be RUDE. I hated the behavior. Later doctor came to visit but they charged me level 2 visit. I always wanted to see a doctor in the first place. So as my right doctor needs to visit. But instead a rude nurse visited. Later i was charged for both the services. I wish Mercy live up to their expectation and be careful with the nurses they recruit.
