  I could never recommend Dr. Brown to anyone. Although competent, he is hasty, business oriented, and set in his ways. At our initial consultation Dr. Brown seemed stressed and had to step out of our meeting. I thought it was just a bad day, but this proved to be the norm. He hurriedly jumps from chair to chair and audibly debates himself as he makes decisions on the fly. Prior to beginning treatment we were encouraged to schedule oral surgery to forcibly pull down an eye tooth that had not emerged due to crowding. I did not, as I believed the tooth would come in if it had space. Dr. Brown told his assistant to add two months to our treatment. The tooth came right in, saving my daughter pain, the risks of anesthesia, and added medical bills. What was Dr. Brown’s motive for not trying this first? Is his primary concern my child or his pocketbook, which is padded by farming patients through as quickly as possible? Midway through treatment I noticed my daughter still had an incredibly narrow mouth and she was still concerned with her underbite. Despite our continuing concerns, Dr. Brown never budged from his original treatment plan nor mentioned the possibility of using an expander. Regarding fully correcting the underbite, he told my daughter repeatedly that she would “not look very pretty” due to her wide, prominent chin. After this final meeting we were forced to cut our losses and transfer to another orthodontist. I can't highly enough recommend Dr. Mahon at My Village Smiles Orthodontics!
